Should you think about working at Citibank: Definitely worth it

Here's my Jobinion
The caliber of people I worked with at Citibank in Orange Country was fabulous. The major drawback to the job was the that the Operational control is prohibitive to establishing new relationships. New clients quickly became frustrated with the operations team asking for more and more information - often without much rationale. The commission plan was relatively fair and they tend to pay bankers better than other banks because they have to be licensed. The regional manager went out of his way on several occassions to give us extras. The major downfall was political issues w/ the credit processing center and the business banking department. It was like an internal war. Also, the branch I worked at in Huntington Beach was in such bad disrepair it was thoroughly embarrassing. While I was in the branch, a teller was held-up by a robber. And, after that I didn't want to work there anymore b/c there actually many things going on in the branch that were in contradiction to what I learned at Wells Fargo to protect against robberies. Maybe I'm too idealistic...but I just couldn't stay after that.
